FAMILY HEALTH CARE
Chiropractic is for the entire family and serves many more important purposes than simply neck and low back pain. Although treating disorders of the musculoskeletal system is a mainstay in our profession, the most beneficial purpose of our care is to aid in proper communication between the brain and body and from the body to the brain. The spinal cord, which carries important information is protected by the bones of the spine and any misalignment can negatively affect the communication system and ultimately the body’s ability to coordinate function or what we call health. As a result, a multitude of conditions and symptoms can arise.
Individuals with such conditions have a greater capacity to heal when the body is communicating properly. Chiropractic is for everybody under any circumstance, however the best and most logical way to use chiropractic would be to schedule regular check-ups to be sure the body is always working at its best. A check-up as soon after birth as possible is optimal.
SPINAL & POSTURE CORRECTION
Poor posture is incredibly prevalent, whether it be a scoliosis, forward head posture, rounded shoulders, lack of proper spinal curves, a “hump” on the spine, etc. Likewise, spinal conditions including bulging and herniated discs, muscle spasms, stiffness in your joints, osteoarthritis, etc. have become commonplace. Rest assured that our doctors are fully trained to help reduce an/or correct these abnormalities. Our 5,000 sq. foot facility is equipped with all the right equipment to get the job done.
NUTRITION
Functional nutrition is a large component of our practice. Through clinical examination, laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic interventions, our doctors are able to best help to improve your health. Year after year, it is becoming more apparent that the common practice of using conventional medications to attempt to cure our many ails is mediocre at best. In fact, a large percentage of these medications are of dubious benefits. Our goal in health care should NOT be to use medications as our first line of defense for most conditions other than when absolutely necessary, but rather to use foods and their nutrients first and foremost. Our doctors are trained in laboratory analysis, interpretation and in creating the right program for you.
WEIGHT-LOSS
Interested in weight-loss? Our weight-loss programs are proven and will do wonders for you. In most cases, lab work and body composition tests will be obtained to best analyze your current condition. Patient’s are then monitored on a week-by-week basis until their weight loss goals are achieved! We understand how difficult it can be not only to lose weight, but to maintain. Do not worry!! We will walk you step by step.
PERSONAL TRAINING AND FITNESS BOOTCAMPS
Fitness and exercise is incredibly important for our well-being. Unfortunately, most individuals do not engage in physical activity and those who do, many times do it incorrectly and as such, achieve suboptimal results. Dr. Duenas is also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Association of Sports Medicine. Those interested in personal training can contact him for more information.
Additionally, Dr. Duenas offers a FITNESS BOOTCAMP every Saturday morning at 9:00 am. All individuals regardless of age and/or fitness level are encouraged to come out and participate. You are assured to have fun and get a great workout!!
DMV PHYSICALS
Individuals needing to complete their DMV physicals to attain their license can come to AVCHC. Forms are usually completed on the same day. Please call in advance to reserve your spot.
PREVENTATIVE / MAINTENANCE CARE
There is no better way to improve your health and wellness than to have your nervous system checked. Routine chiropractic care is the best way to ensure that your nervous system is operating the best that it can. Maintenance care is a great way to ensure that the progress you have made in the past is not lost by allowing your body fall back to where it was before you first came for care. Maybe you have never experienced any symptoms and would like to make sure your body will continue to function optimally! Periodic chiropractic care will keep things moving properly and allow for early detection of smaller dysfunctions before they become bigger problems!
AUTO ACCIDENTS AND WORKERS’ COMPENSATION
Whether you are injured on the job or in your car, we are here to help you heal. Chiropractic care has proven very effective in the recovery process from these accidents. Most auto and work-related accidents not only involve bones out of position, but also involve soft tissue injury. This recovery takes some time and our very comprehensive procedures are designed to improve your spinal alignment, retrain your muscles and allow your tendons & ligaments to heal.
ON-SITE X-RAY
Our facility has an x-ray machine on-site. If your case requires such imaging, we can take care of that need right away. In the event that advanced imaging is required, we have somewhere to send you for that too!
PEDIATRIC CARE
Kids need chiropractic care too. With all the prescription drugs, medications, vaccines and toxins that our children are exposed to, our children need chiropractic care to help their nervous systems perform at their best. Although some of the kids we see come in with a neck or back ache, most commonly they are here because their moms and dads realize the value to chiropractic care. Those children are here for periodic maintenance care and many of them tend to miss many fewer days of school.
CUSTOM ORTHOTICS
Do you have foot pain, knee pain, hip pain or maybe your adjustments are just not holding as well as they should? Our custom orthotics, made by Foot Levelers are digitally fitted just for you. Foot orthotics need to be custom made for you so that they are shaped to match your foot, not someone else’s and they should not be based on a generic foot model. Our digital scanner finds out exactly what your need is and Foot Levelers provides an orthotic made just for you.
REHABILITATIVE SERVICES
Our facility offers on-site rehabilitative services with a full gym and a full complement of sports therapy equipment. There is no longer a need to have your chiropractic care here and then your rehab somewhere else. Our physicians can put together a rehab program just for you that is specifically designed to support the chiropractic care that you are currently receiving.
Modality therapies, including ultrasound, interferential, ice/heat, etc. are used as needed.
